Skip grabs the hand still holding the boots, grasping it gently.”But didn’t ya say I was yer prince?” He pushes her hair out of the way as he gets closer.
“Don’t ya love me forever?”
“Psh-,” she stops short as he get close and she swallows, looking away; lips in a small pout that for once wasn’t fake. Blinking, she opens her mouth to speak but fights to find the right words that wouldn’t make her look like a major sap; distracted by his closeness.
“I-” she stops short and clears her throat, trying to put more strength behind her words as she looks up at him, “I-I do but you should definitely buy me these boots, otherwise I might rethink my- uh love for you,” she tries to sound sure of herself but this whole encounter has her shaken and it’s hard for her to be her usual sassy self.
Skip snickers and backs away from her completely. Grabbing the boots he heads for the owner of the store to pay with a wink thrown her way.
“Be right back, princess. And by the way I don’t think ya can rethink a forever type of love.”
